Post 15 had the opportunity a few months ago to make sure a statue of Michael J Fitzmaurice would be placed in Eastern South Dakota. $60,000 was pledged by Post 15 to complete the statue with the hopes of backfilling $50,000. We are 1/2 way there thanks to other American Legion Posts across the state, some other veteran service organizations and also some generous members of Post 15 and other individual donors too.
